Your trip will start on a 24’ Skeeter SX230 bay boat that runs on a 250 HP Yamaha engine. It can take up to 4 anglers. For navigation, it uses modern GPS, fishfinder, and radio systems that will safely and quickly get you to the fish. For a stealthy approach, the boat uses a wireless trolling motor. The onboard livewell will supply you with live bait and the ice-box will keep your drinks and fish cool throughout the trip.
The Goodland inshore waters, backcountry, and flats offer you plenty of interesting species to catch. You can target Red Grouper, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, Blacktip Shark, Pompano, and more. You and the captain will use light tackle and will bottom fish, spin, and jig for fish. It’s up to you to decide whether you’ll take your catch home or just release it back to the water. Also, be free to bring your kids along, it’s a lovely opportunity for them to experience the beauties of marine life.
The captain will supply you with all the fishing gear you’ll need, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. He’s also got you covered for licenses and will gladly clean and fillet your catch if you had decided to keep it. You’ll just need to pack your favorite food and drinks before you depart.
