If you’re ready to get hooked on fishing in Puerto Morelos, come on board "La Negra."
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bohar Snapper, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
La Negra is a 25’ Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat. Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Remember to bring snacks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Some drinks will be offered, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Treat yourself to a day on the water aboard "La Negra!"
