We had a pleasant experience in-shore fishing with Capt Matt & 1st mate Peyten. They were both very personable & we would definitely be interested in fishing again w/ both of them for the Kingfish off-shore charter.

Capt Chris went the extra mile. Split the time with trolling for game fish. We landed some great barracuda! We switched to bottom fishing and caught some baitfish on the side. Then the red snapper started hitting. A full day of catching and reeling! Thanks to Erik the 1st mate!  Let’s do it again. We had some good hand to hand combat and a few cut our lines.

We had the most wonderful 1/2 day fishing trip with Captain Chris and Eric.  The day could not have been any better!  We caught 5 King Mackerel and had a blast doing it!  Chris knew what he was doing, communicated well and was patient with everyone including the kids.  We will book again!

We were pretty disappointed after this trip, but we’ll call it just bad luck. It took a good bit longer than expected to catch the bait fish as we had to go to 3 different locations to find them.
Then we were excited when we got started as it didn’t take long to get something on, but it turned out to be a shark. We did catch one kingfish and one other shark, but nothing after. The last 2.5 hours of the trip was just floating around in the water. Not everyone who paid to go on the trip even got to touch a fishing rod, so the ones who didn’t felt like their money was wasted. Maybe better luck with bites next time.

Chris did a great job with our family. He took care of everything that we needed. Next time we’re in St. Augustine and are looking for a charter, we’ll be calling him again.
