In short fishing with Capt. Paul was not fishing at all. It was Catching! Hooking, fighting, and landing pure chrome fighting power. Paul had gear down on the track before the sun crested over the hill and we hit our first double header of the day (we had three!), as the sun broke over the tree tops. Magestic! The fun didn’t stop until we limited out on chrome Chinook in 2.5 hours. Fighting Kings side by side with my dad, who taught me to fish as soon as I could hold a rod, is something I’ll cherish forever. To hear my dad say “well that’s off the bucket list” with the glee of a boy was priceless. All the chinook we landed were between 20-30 pounds, and after Paul cleaned them for us and brought us to the packers, we ended up with 52 pounds of beautiful red fillets. That’s about 1k$ worth of fish! We decided that was enough for us even though the offer to continue to fish for coho or halibut was on offer. Paul was a great guide and has 20 years of fishing experience on the west coast. He was fun, kind, knowledgable, and entertaining. A good teacher and a fast friend. Would I recommmend Paul and Castaway Charters? Hell Yes!!! And you can bet I’ll be back.

Captain Paul showed us the fish on day one , limit of kings ,caught two cohos but were natives so released them .no time for halibut . Second day a big storm and high seas in morning so returned to dock. went out at 9.30 am again and caught two kings and a coho that we released. . Captain Paul is a very safe captain. so we fished inside the port the rest of the day. A great experience for my grand daughter and myself

Two incredible kings and many more hookups allowed us to then view the eagles, harbor seals and sea lions along the coast.

Were supposed to go at 2:00, but Paul said he was availabe to go at 10 when fishing would be better. He is very accomodating and wants to make sure his clients have a great time.
