What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Miami, Florida for the first time?

i had a great time, caught the fish i was looking for with a great captain. i would highly recommend fishing in miami in januarty as the rest of the country is freezing .

i think the fishing may be better in the morning and not in the afternoon . No one really caught anything on our boat!

Just get out there. Tell the captain what you’re looking to do and they’ll point you in the right direction.

I was given advice from friends that fishing above the keys would not be that ideal. However, we had a great time and expect to catch more fish in the area soon.

On this particular day it was very windy and not good for shing. But after all it is mother nature. would do it again though

Make sure (the best you can) to get a boat and crew that will work to help you catch fish. It seems the less you pay the less fish you catch.

I recommend that if you want to spend a fishing time with friends or family. Book with you. Helpful and very profecionales.

I think it would have been fine, but when we went out, a storm was brewing and I'm pretty sure that shut some fish down a bit.

Yes, but know your personal limitations. Choppy water is rough if you suffer from motion sickness. Prepare properly and enjoy.

Focus on the guide, not the boat. You don't need a 30ft boat to run around in the Miami bays and get to the good fishing!

Great time for Tarpon due to the shrimp hatch. Beat the heat. Beautiful weather. Fish at night when there isn't any boat traffic.

Smaller fish (generall) but overall Florida has a wide variety of fish for all types of fishing.

Fishing can be tough in the hotter months be versatile, and you’ll find fish all day.

Bring sun block and lots of electrolyte drinks. This sun is intense at all times of the day!

Nothing fancy but was nice staff with the equipment needed. 4 hours was perfect time.

Be sure you and people in your group have no sea sickness, or they can suffer a lot.

It was our first experience. Deep sea fishing has such different techniques. Great experience.

Definitely visit your doctor for motion sickness patches first because the ocean can get rough.
