The captain was very knowledgeable.ย The home page led us to believe that bait provided meant we would be fishing right away.ย What that actually means is that bait is provided to go catch the actual bait that will be used for fishing for the real catch.ย So that takes time away from fishing for the real catch.ย Then the home page also said you can keep what you catch.ย We were unable to keep anything because everything was out of season or wrong place.ย We spent most of the time fishing for bait fish, then 1/2 hour in the ocean fishing for stripers, the rest of the time fishing in the river for fish we couldnโt keep.

Andre, I had no idea you had a negative experience. Iโm sorry I donโt have control over the regulations and seasons set by the governing bodies. In the future, look up the regulations or ask the captain before booking a trip. I took you cod fishing which is usually a more expensive trip at no extra charge because that was going to be the more productive fishing experience due to the weather conditions weโve had that I know you were aware of. You forgot to mention how productive the cod fishing was and how happy everyone seemed to be with that. I wanted to add the biggest reason I moved us to the river instead of staying out in the ocean was because you got sick, and others in your group looked like they might too. I put the health and safety of the people aboard my boat first.
