Mike and his wife were a pleasure to deal with. His wife handles all of the scheduling, information, billing, etc., had everything organized for us, gave tips on where to purchase food nearby, parking maps, etc. Mike is the captain and he is a great guy. Even though we had very bad weather and someone from our team got sea sick Mike was a trooper and did the best he could to make the trip a great experience. Weather did not allow us to stay at the Islands for too long but Mike gave it 110% and we had to go back to shoreline fishing as it was getting too dangerous - Mike is all about Safety First and Fun 2nd! Shoreline fishing was great, caught ton of Halibut. Mike’s boat is also great, tons of advanced equipment and Mike does a great job of getting everything ready before you head out. Lastly, Mike has a ton of knowledge to share about the local area, was quite educational as well. Great trip - would highly recommend. Thank you Mike and Karen!

We had such a Great Time!!! Captain Mike and his Dear Admiral Wife Karen made sure we were completely set up and comfortable for an Amazing Day in the San Diego Bay. Very Well Kept and Clean Boat with top of the line Fishing Gear!!! Very prompt and courteous with the perfect emphasis on safety! Mike gave us an incredible guided tour of the bay explaining all of the interesting landmarks old and new! We caught Halibut, Sea Bass and even a Lizard Fish!! We will be coming back to San Diego again soon and are definitely booking another Charter with Bubba Jean Sportfishing!!! Thank You So Much For Everything!!!

The fish biting was slow at first. Mike was quick to pull up if the fish weren’t biting after putting us on the fish.
Mike
was definitely super responsive. Even when the fish weren’t biting he was constantly pointing out interesting landmarks details on our way to the next spot. Mike’s determination paid off as our last stop was a constant “fish on” for everyone (3 of us)
We drifted over spot again with more hits and made the trip!

We had the absolute best experience with Captain Mike! It was not only a sport fishing event for me and my grandson, but a learning experience as well. We caught lots of fish !!!! The Captain is patient, kind, funny, and an overall good human being and fisherman. (But Grandma still rules!)  Thanks Mike and Karen (aka The Admiral) for making our trip so memorable!😊

This is was a Georgia mother-sons trip to SoCal and this fishing trip was a great one to remember for a lifetime. We caught 9 or 10 fish and they were not biting just outside the bay…stubborn fish - we could see them and we would get bits but no takers! We headed back in and caught a lot of bass, scopin and a couple of small halibut. Mike was wonderful captain and attentive. He pointed out so much of the bay and the military involvement was active…seeing destroyers, submarines, Navy Seals, military dolphin trainers, Osprey helicopters and so much more. It was a good day to be on thr water fir these three east coasters!
