Pros: caught lots of fish, nice boat, crew cleaned and fileted fish, one of the two crew members was quite nice Cons: one of the two crew members was grumpy and impatient. Felt like they were rushing to catch fish for us. We hit our rockfish limit about 30 minutes into a 6 hour trip. They didn’t let us cast which was weird. Spent the last 3+ hours catching bait fish to replenish their stock. Overall would recommend they focus on letting people enjoy the day and teaching rather than doing everything themselves

The captain and mate were awesome. There was only six rods for 14 people we had to stand in line. We only got six fish for 14 people. We went around in circles for 4 hours. It would have been nice to at least got a call say hey do you want to reschedule because we haven’t gotten any fish in two weeks bottom fishing. We never even went bottom fishing for any Croakers stripers mackerel nothing. I will give the captain credit he did go out of his way to try again but still another 2 hours nothing. I know the old saying it’s called fishing not catching but come on that was the worst experience I’ve ever had in catching fish and I’ve been at least 12 to 15 times. Some people traveled over 3 hours for this trip and we rented a van. Sorry about review but I’d rather be honest than sugar coat it.

Great time! We are neighborhood families that took our kiddos on their first charter and/or fishing experience, in some cases the same for parents. Everyone caught fish which was a win for the children and parents alike.  There is a bathroom on board and places on the boat to sit under cover and snack/rest. Capt Shawn and Capt Tawn had great patience and are knowledgeable! They even gave cooking tips on the fish we caught.

Best part was that all the children fell asleep on the way home! We’ll definitely do this charter again.

Great trip with Captain Shawn and Captain Tawn for the 1pm to 7pm trip. Caught a few different types of fish (rock fish, bluefin, and spotted mackerel). Both Captain’s were very knowledgeable and help with our group from age 13 to 18 as the primary fishers, not including parents and adults who attended as well. Every was able to catch a few fish either live bait or trolling. Everyone had a grand time and enjoyed the company of the crew and fishers.

Our first charter, two dads and 4 sons.  Perfect day. The crew was excellent, and good with the kids.  The boat is spotless and very comfortable.  First went to grounds for small fish then onto the rockfish.  Once we got the rockfish grounds capt worked hard to find where the fish were at, using connections with other captains over the radio and personal knowledge. once on site capt and mate were on the spot, moving fast, keeping the lines up and engaging well with the kids to help them bring in the catch.  Everybody had a great time, everybody caught some rockfish. Took some filets home, they tasted excellent!
