Captain Robbie took myself and my 11 year old step son out this morning for a 2 hour trip (that turned in to almost 3 because he was gracious enough to let my stepson go out further than we had intended when I booked). We had a great day out on the water and Captain Robbie could not have more entertaining and knowledgeable, not just about fishing but the local history as well.  He even took time at the end of the charter to teach my stepson some new knots and tips on surf fishing.  A great guy and a great time!  I highly recommend!

The current was ripping the wind was howling the rain was on the doorstep but we went fishing and had a wonderful time with Capt Robbie.  He not only is a charter boat captain but a local tour guide as well. He was able to show off his local waters and landmarks. We fished some nice structure bridge rubble but the current was brutal.  We picked up one sea bass then moved on two a second hole. A couple of small grunts then moved again. Set up on the back side of Goat Island and nabbed one small Redfish. The wind picked up and the rain started falling so we called it a day. His 24 foot bay boat was comfortable and dry. His equipment was new, Penn rods and reels. The only issue was his fresh out of the shop Minn Kota Ultera died. But the anchor worked just fine. If you have any doubt about fishing the Salty Crew Charters rest assured he will do all he can to make a crappy weather day enjoyable.

Captain Robbie went above and beyond during our fishing charter experience. While the fish weren’t biting as much as he would have liked, he made up for it with his extensive knowledge of Charleston and willingness to share it with us. Highly recommend Captain Robbie with Salty Crew Charters!
